Free Rice for Others and Free Vocabulary Drill for Kids

I just found a great new site to help my 2nd grade son practice his vocabulary and give to others at the same time. That's a very COOL thing for this homeschool mama who sometimes needs a little technology integration to liven up our homeschool lessons.

Send your kiddo to http://freerice.com and for each vocabulary word that your child gets correct, the United Nations World Food Programme will donate 10 grains of rice.

                                        page at http://freerice.com

Click the SUBJECT tab to take free tests on other subjects too like free art tests, free flag identification test, free basic math tests, free capitals tests, and even free multiplication tests.

For even more fun, let your child figure out how many grains of rice were donated. If you have rice at home, weigh it. Figure out how many grains you would need for a meal. Figure out how many grains you would need to fill a cup. Just have fun and let learning take place.

Enjoy!
Robin
